Orange City, FL (May 7, 2021) – At 4 a.m. on Friday morning, May 7, a fatal pedestrian crash occurred on a highway in Orange City.
According to the Orange City Police Department, the accident happened at 600 Veterans Memorial Parkway. Police confirmed that 89-year-old Armando Brazzoni was walking on the roadway when he was suddenly struck by a vehicle traveling through the area.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. Brazzoni was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead while there.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was not injured.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
