Pine Hills, FL (April 3, 2021) – At 9 a.m. on Saturday morning, April 3, an officer was injured in a car crash at an intersection in Pine Hills.
According to Orlando Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Pine Hills Road and Silver Star Road. An officer was at the intersection with his traffic lights on when another vehicle slammed into the patrol vehicle.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The officer and the other driver were taken to local hospitals for treatment. However, they were alert and conscious and are expected to be okay.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
