Pembroke Pines, FL (February 24, 2021) – On Saturday afternoon, February 20, a pedestrian accident involving a vehicle that crashed through a home was reported in Pembroke Pines.

According to police, the accident took place on Southwest 13th Street. A 17-year-old girl was driving an SUV when the driver lost control and slammed into a room of a house. A woman in the living room was thrown from her couch due to the impact.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident. The adult woman was the only person injured as a result of the accident. She was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.

The 17-year-old driver was allegedly driving without a license. They are now facing multiple traffic offenses.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
