Orlando, FL (April 19, 2021) – On Monday morning, April 19, a fatal pedestrian crash occurred at an intersection in Orlando.

According to Orange County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of West Colonial Drive and Putnam Avenue. A pedestrian was crossing the street in the area when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The unidentified pedestrian was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead while there.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene to cooperate with the police.

Westbound lanes of traffic were blocked for a period of time.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
