Orlando, FL (February 23, 2021) – Around 5:30 p.m. on Monday evening, February 22, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred near an intersection in Orlando.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Semoran Boulevard near the area of East Colonial Drive. Few details have been provided but police confirmed that an unidentified pedestrian was struck by a vehicle traveling in the area.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the crash. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified by police, was pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital.
The northbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
