Orlando, FL (March 9, 2021) – At 8:15 p.m. on Monday night, March 8, a fatal motorcycle accident took place on a roadway in Orlando.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Oak Ridge Road around the area of Harcourt Avenue. At the time, a motorcycle was traveling west when the driver and another vehicle collided. The motorcycle then veered into the other lane of traffic where a sedan struck it head-on.
Both the motorcyclist and the passenger, who have not yet been identified, were thrown from the bike. The driver was then struck by an SUV driving in the area.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger was rushed to Orlando Health with critical injuries.
The drivers of both vehicles involved in the accident suffered from minor injuries.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
