Mt. Dora, FL (March 4, 2021) – Around 8 p.m. on Wednesday night, March 3, a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Mt. Dora.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of Orange Blossom Trail near Dudley Avenue. A 22-year-old Kissimmee woman was driving her SUV while a man was crossing the street. She was unable to stop and struck the pedestrian.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene. The pedestrian was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries while there.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
