Melbourne, FL – Woman Injured in Pedestrian Crash on N Wickham Rd

Melbourne, FL (March 12, 2021) – Around 7:10 p.m. on Thursday night, March 11, a woman was injured in a pedestrian crash in Melbourne.

According to authorities, the accident took place at 2980 North Wickham Road when a vehicle was traveling south in the inside travel lane. A woman stepped onto the road to cross the street and the vehicle did not stop in time, striking her.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene. The 57-year-old pedestrian was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center with traumatic injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
