Christmas, FL (March 14, 2021) – Around 8 p.m. on Saturday night, March 13, a serious car accident with multiple injuries took place at an intersection in Christmas.
According to Orange County officials, the accident took place at the intersection of FL-520 and Nova Road. It is believed that multiple vehicles collided after entering the intersection at the same time, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to assist at the scene. Seven people were hospitalized as a result of the accident, four of them of who were children on trauma alert. On top of the seven people hospitalized, two others were injured but not taken to the hospital.
The roadway was blocked in the area for some time. Drivers were urged to avoid the area until police could clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation continues.
